2017 Lucidity Festival: Eudaimonia

This workshop will introduce you to the practice of fire sword dancing as a path to creative realization & fulfillment. The principles of meditation, martial and performance arts are combined with a passion for dance to introduce practitioners to their bodies as living works of art. As you gain familiarity with blending handwork {techniques of object manipulation} & footwork {stances, steps, and leaps}, we practice moving our bodies and the swords to music. What results is yoga {union} between the practitioner, their sword and the beat of the music, opening the door to freedom & improvisation. If you have them anything that could be used like a sword, please bring {no edges please ;-}. If you do not have any, come anyway, as Michael has some to share.
