In Fishbon Theatre’s musical production, “Rainbow Brite and the Great Rehab Adventure”, the former 1980s cartoon star – now the burned-out authoritarian ruler of Rainbowland - attempts to destroy her nemesis Murky Dismal once and for all, with the help of a militant (and diabetic) Strawberry Shortcake. Featuring an army of rabid Care Bears, the play is a twisted homage to childhood icons and a tale of unlikely redemption.
The Fishbon Theatre, based in Santa Barbara, has been entertaining guests at Lucidity since 2012 through satiric productions such as “Déja Voodoo”, “Mission to Mars”, “The 1st Annual Lucid-olympics” and “Not Without My Chlamydia”.
