2017 Lucidity Festival: Eudaimonia

WORLD WIND delivers a soulful blend of exotic improvisational world grooves from down tempo trance, to hot percussive grooves that will light your dance on fire!

Timo Beckwith, Ryan Herr, and a rotating cast of world class players create the sounds of World Wind with Exotic Trance Vocals, African Harp, Shruti Box, Flutes, World Percussion, Middle Eastern Strings, Guitar, Bass, Kalimba, Mandolin, Banjo, Synth, Violin and more.

These seasoned performers have played in World Wind at diverse venues including: Esalen Institute, Symbiosis, LIB, Lucidity, Mystic Garden Party and a wide array of Ecstatic Dance Venues.

Timo Beckwith says: " We never rehearse this music. It's created on the spot and the energy and presence of the audience is a big part of our inspiration!"

World Wind is a very unique band in todays music world as we only get together for specific gigs as they become available.

Ryann Herr and Timo Beckwith are the core members of World Wind and Viking Brukhiser is usually with us laying down his fat funky bass grooves.

Other frequent players are David Bergeaud, Tyson Leonard and Jesse Hendricks. We all do our own solo gigs and Ryan, Tyson and Jesse have been working with Wild Light and the Polish Ambassador, Tyson with Tropo, Viking with Delta Nove and Vocab Company while David who is a consummately stellar and diverse musician is in high demand by everyone it seems.
